Kyle hackmann, PASTOr

After completing his Masters of Divinity and gathering ministry experience in Chicago, Leipzig, and St. Louis, Kyle and Kim Hackmann moved to Toronto in 2010 to join Grace Toronto in their mission of seeing churches planted throughout Toronto. Kyle served as the Associate pastor of Grace Toronto Church for 7 years, while living in the East End. As of January 1, 2017, he transitioned into the role of church planting pastor for Christ Church Toronto.

Kyle and Kim have been married for 12 years. They have four daughters and a dog named Strider. To contact Kyle, email kyle@christchurchtoronto.ca

Chris Pignatiello, Church planting resident

Chris Pignatiello has lived in and around the Toronto area his entire life. After finishing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology he began to sense a call towards pastoral ministry. 

In 2016, he completed a master’s of divinity from Tyndale Seminary and with his wife began to explore Church Planting in the GTA. In the days ahead, they hope to grow in sharing the good news of the Gospel to a city that is in such desperate need of it. 

Most of Chris’ time is now spent doing ministry with his family, with their newest addition Luca, playing or watching basketball with his friends, or out on the golf course.

Saralyn Tyler, Director of Children's Ministry

Saralyn Tyler is the Director of Children's Min istry at Christ Church Toronto. She is passionate about sharing the Gospel with children in a fun and engaging way. Saralyn has served in several different ministry contexts - northern Quebec, inner city Toronto, and Ottawa. She has led Sunday school, mid week clubs and summer camps. Saralyn grew up in Toronto before moving to Ottawa to complete her undergrad at Carleton University.

Alan Medri, Director of Worship Ministries and Pastoral Resident

Alan was born and raised in Toronto. Through his parents came from vastly different Christian traditions, they emphasized the importance of Jesus to him constantly and helped him understand Jesus' love for him.

Alan's father is a music teacher, and started him on the cello at the age of four! Alan graduated from St. Michael’s Choir School where he sang as a cathedral chorister for ten years. He studied piano and organ while there. He began playing guitar during his teenage years because he wanted to be cooler than the orchestra kids!

The Alan is married to Chantal and they have three children.
